ERfC-Educational Resources for Children
Teams with kids, communities, schools and families to grow resilient children. Through innovative community collaborations, we help kids learn, reach their goals, and contribute to their communities by providing academic, enrichment, recreational, and cultural arts activities for out-of-school-time.

KITE-Key Initiatives to Early Education
KITE is a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing early education and child care opportunities in the Town of Enfield.  There is also a web page with "Reading Aloud" tips for parents.

Central Library Birth-5 Program
Early literacy is what children know about reading and writing before they learn how to read or write. It is important to start as early as possible since children’s early experiences with books and language will predict their success with learning how to read in school.  This program helps facilitate success.

Storytime at the Central Library sets the stage for lifelong learning and the love of reading, promotes increased attention span and allows children to develop the early literacy, communication and social skills needed to be ready to learn by the time they enter school.

Enfield Gets Ready for Kindergarten
Join kindergarten teachers for a fun and informative evening of exploring activities you can do at home to help prepare your child for school. Tour a classroom and receive free materials and suggestions to use in order to develop your child’s skills in
writing, language arts, executive function, and math.

First Reader's Club
Once a child has been certified by his or her teacher as being able to read one of a selection of books fluently for the first time, we acknowledge each child’s huge accomplishment by celebrating with the Enfield community.

United Way Volunteer Readers Program
Helps students get on track with reading on their grade level-community members read once a week to a selected student with lower literacy.
