Motor Oil, Batteries, Textile Recycling

Note that per their website, the following locations do accept motor oil dropoff.  Please call them in advance to verify.

​Oil Recycling at the Public Works Complex - postponed until further notice.

Oil may be dropped off at a collection point located at the Public Works Complex, 40 Moody Road. This is normally scheduled for the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You may call the Refuse and Resource Management Division at 860-763-7560 for confirmation of dates and times. Note that there will be no drop off during the months of December, January, February or March. Motor oil should be in Clear plastic bottles (if possible) no larger than 1 gallon.

Car Batteries

Lead acid automotive and marine batteries may also be dropped off on oil recycling days. No leaking batteries please.

Textile/Clothing Recycling

Free Textile recycling is available at the Enfield Transfer Station as well as the Public Works Complex. This includes clothing, shoes, accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, pocketbooks, duffle bags, totes, belts, etc), household linens as well as stuffed animals. The Transfer Station Location is open Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 am - 3:30 pm.  The drop off box at the Public Works Complex can be accessed at any time.​
