Fire Behavior and Tactical Considerations

After attending June school this year, I was shown some great training lessons that have resulted from studies done by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).  While you watch this video, bear in mind that this does not supersede our SOP's.  But the information in this video can be used as practical knowledge to help give you the tactical advantage.

Below is a list of FEMA Independent Study programs that you can take online at your leisure.  You are not required to take any of the courses to be a member of this department.  They are supplied here to you only to better your knowledge of various topics, and possibly for addition to a resume.  More classes get added all the time and this page will be updated to reflect that.  If you have any questions pertaining to these programs, contact either Lt. Ken Maltese or Capt Ed Prajzner.
