Town Manager Christopher Bromson announces, “the Town of Enfield is pleased to welcome Senior Center Manager Sheila Grady to the organization. We are looking forward to her future accomplishments.”
After a very competitive process, Director of Libraries, Jason Neely, is extremely satisfied with the selection. “We had over 50 applicants for the position and after conducting the interviews Sheila really stood out as the obvious candidate. We are thrilled to have her onboard.”
Enrichment for seniors’ minds, bodies, and spirits is the top focus of the Senior Center mission, and keeping our patrons healthy and happy while supporting them with the quality activities they have grown to love, calls for a strong and experienced hand in a Manager.
Sheila comes to us from Ashford Senior Center, where she served as Director and Agent for the Elderly since 2015. She also has experience with coordinating the Meals on Wheels program and was and Employment Specialist at Goodwill Industries.
Programs and activities are being improved continuously and vary by season. The variety of programs and services for seniors in the area include physical activities, educational opportunities, counseling and support groups, volunteer opportunities, and wellness programs.
It’s an exciting time for residents to witness our current staff’s talents and contributions to our divisions under Library Services. Look for our Head of Reference at the Library teaching classes at the Senior Center and coordinating with their volunteer teachers. Also look out for a new schedule for showing films that is currently being developed to alternate weekly between the Library and Senior Center so that a movie will be playing every week in Enfield.
