Calling all crafty kids! Join Enfield Recreation on Friday, April 17 from 9:00 - 10:15 AM at the Angelo Lamagna Activity Center for a session of arts and crafts. Participants can let their imagination fly as they create their own masterpieces! Crafters can beautify their windows when they decorate celestial sun catchers. Dry time? No worries! Participants can get creative and design their very own scratch art door hangers. All crafts will go home with participants at the end of the program. Participants should wear art-appropriate clothing. A limited number of smocks will be available to use. Pre-registration is required.
Whether you are learning the sport for the first time or are looking to improve your skills and knowledge, this clinic is perfect for you! Join us on Wednesdays, April 22 - May 27 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Enfield Annex. This program will be split into two groups: grades 3-5 and grades 6-8. Participants will be introduced to and taught the fundamentals of field hockey. Instructors will cover stick and ball handling, passing and receiving, shooting and game rules. The first 45 minutes of the program will focus on skills and drills, while the second 45 minutes will be game play. PLEASE NOTE: Participants must bring shin guards, a mouth guard and a field hockey stick. There will be a limited supply of sticks available to borrow if needed. Limit: 16 per group.
Prepare for our upcoming youth fishing derby with this Introduction to Fishing Class presented by certified Connecticut DEEP CARE Instructors! Join us on Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM at the Angelo Lamagna Activity Center. Learn about tackle, casting, knot tying, safety, regulations and identifying a catch. This program will start with a classroom session and be followed by a fishing trip to Freshwater Pond to practice the skills learned in a live setting. All participants MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian during this program. No more than 3 youth per adult. Participants can use gear provided by the CARE Instructors or are welcome to bring their own. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch and water bottle. Pre-registration for both parent and child is required. Limit: 24.

These multi-sport programs give children a positive first step into athletics. Soccer and basketball are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a large focus on fun. Join us on Wednesdays, May 6 - June 3 at Parkman School for games and activities designed to allow participants to explore balance, movement and hand-eye coordination! Participants should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers and should bring a water bottle clearly labeled with their name. Tiny Hawks will be from 5:00 - 5:45 PM and Mini Hawks will be from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

A program designed for recreational pickleball play will be held for adults 18 years and older. There is no league play during open gym. Pick-up games are arranged amongst the participants. Proof of age and residency are required and participants must have a program waiver on file at the gym to participate. Forms may be filled out the first day attended. There is no pickleball when school is closed. Please note that if the gym gets over crowded, residents will have first priority to play.

This program is a great chance for you and your child to meet other families from Enfield and the surrounding area! Your child will be able to explore and play with educational toys and games while moms, dads and caregivers have a chance to talk. Playgroup is an ongoing program, so registration is not necessary. Please note that a participant waiver must be on file with the instructor which can be filled out the first day attended. There is no playgroup when school is delayed, closed or there is a parking ban.
