Minutes of Regular Meeting
February 9, 2009 (due to inclement weather meeting date was changed from the 3rd to the 9th)
Enfield Room – 6:35 p.m.
Present
Barbara Kelly, Terri Jedynak, Mary Keller, Cathy Sperazza, and Diane Carlone
Acceptance of Minutes
Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted by Terri Jedynak and seconded by Barbara Kelly.
Chairperson’s Remarks
Diane mentioned that our Wine/Beer Tasting was very successful. There were 47 in attendance.
Treasurer’s Report
Terri reported that we presently have used up our $12,000 budget money.
Staff Liaison’s Remarks
Mary reported that we have 31 people signed up for the Blue Man Group performance in Boston on April 25, 2009. Yvonne will order 45 tickets next week. The bus will leave Town Hall at 8 a.m. and pick up will be on Tremont Street (one block from the theater) at 4:30 p.m.
Old Business
We have a few of ECAC members that will be attending the Better Connecticut Show (Channel 3) on Friday, February 13, 2009.
The Wiffenpoofs are still on our tentative agenda for December 2009. We will contact them in early May to make arrangements and hopefully receive a discounted rate.
New Business
Suggestions for up-coming year were:
· Radio City Music Hall trip in November
· Possible trip to Providence, R.I. in the Fall with stops at RI School of Design, Federal Hill & Culinary Institute
The meeting ended at 7:40 p.m. with a motion by Terri Jedynak and seconded by Barbara Kelly.
