Acceptance of Minutes

Bill Lee attended our monthly meeting  to bring us up to date regarding the Town Council’s overview of our mission.  What needs to be clarified is –

·        Should our events take place in town?  Out of town?

·        Clarify our charge and financial control.

·        Should we provide services for Enfield people in Enfield?

These things will be discussed and guidelines set in the months to come.

Bill presented us with a $500 opera grant from the Hart School of Music.  We will provide a $250 amount to sponsor the Village Art Initiative.

Bill also mentioned that the Voices of Thompsonville is looking for funds for a Halloween event.  We decided we did not have sufficient funds to sponsor this cause.

Chairperson’s Remarks

Diane read a note from Amy Witbro letting us know how much she appreciated our involvement in Family Day.  It was a job well done!

The Pumpkin Festival is coming up  - October 17.  We will be chaperoning the hayrides and will work in teams –

We still have a limited amount of tickets left for the Christmas Show in NYC in November.

The Wiffenpoofs will perform for us on December 4 at the Congregational Church on Enfield Street.  We will have a reception in the church hall following the performance.

Treasurer Report

Barbara Kelly gave the treasurer’s report – we have no money in our regular account and we have $24,274.76 in our special account.
