Chairperson’s Remarks
Diane told the commission that she will be requesting $12,000 from the council for our upcoming budget.
Diane also mentioned that she wrote to Mike Lavigne of the Wiffenpoofs regarding our disappointment in their performance. We did not receive much of a reply from him other than he was sorry that they had booked two performances for that particular night.
The Festival of Trees at the public library was a very successful.
Treasurer Report
In Terri Jedynak’s absence, Diane reported we have approximately $20,764 in our account with all bills being paid to date.
Staff Liaison’s Remarks
Mary Keller presented the ASCAP bill to Diane as well as the upcoming meeting dates for the new year. She also gave us posters for the Lion King performance at the Bushnell. We will distribute them throughout the town.
Old Business
Diane spoke to the Mayor regarding the Festival of Trees at the Wadsworth and our involvement in the future. He said that if we could get a number of tickets from the Wadsworth Museum and raffle them off to the children in the town of Enfield it would be a good thing.
Yvonne will contact the guitarists for our wine tasting in February with a definite date and time.
NewBusiness
A possible Christmas Concert for December 2010, similar to the one performed at St. Adalbert’s Church, was discussed. Betty and Yvonne will work on this and get back to the commission with additional information.
