AGENDA

1.                  Call to order – Chairman Tatoian called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

2.                  Roll call – Present were Chairman Richard Tatoian and Commissioners Russell Meyer, Nancy Smyth, Marie Troiano and Raymond Gwozdz, Alternate.

3.                  Public Hearings: ONE

HDC #338               Extension of existing covered walkway on south side of 1365 Enfield Street and addition of covered drop-off area, and construction of seasonal screened room on existing concrete patio on north side of 1365 Enfield Street, both for the Felician Adult Day Care. EHDO Section 8 – This public hearing was closed.

Mr. Gwozdz made a motion, seconded by Ms. Smyth, to approve the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of an extension of an existing covered walkway on the south side of 1365 Enfield Street as well as the addition of a covered drop-off area, and the construction of a seasonal screen room on the existing concrete patio on the north side of 1365 Enfield Street, both for the Felician Adult Day Care. EHDO Section 8.

All proposed additions are as detailed in the application, elevations, and photographs and as located by the site plan, as submitted by the applicant, and as discussed in the public hearing under HDC #338. Any revisions to the motion and/or conditions, if applied, will be listed below under 'revisions to text'.

Revisions to Text

The following conditions were added to the motion:

1.                  The flashing and bolts for the screen room shall be attached at the mortar joints of the main structure on the north side of the building.

2.                  The awning shall be removed and repairs made conducive to the historic structure.

The motion was approved by a 4 – 0- 1 vote.  Commissioner Meyer abstained.

4.                  HDCR - Review files, determinations of need for certificates of appropriateness: ONE

HDCR2007-004      Report on modification to approved application HDC #337, Felician Sisters, 1365 Enfield Street, Additional activity review of approval to convert the old high school / day care center building into 22 apartments

5.                  Executive Session – Matters regarding pending litigation, specific employees, acquisition of real estate, and / or matters exempt from disclosure requirements, as needed.  The specific reason should be stated for each session.

8.                  Approval of Meeting Minutes – October 24, 2007 – Mr. Meyer made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gwozdz, to approve the Minutes of October 24, 2007.  Mr. Gwozdz made a correction to those Minutes.  On page 8 “Chairman DiPace” should read “Chairman Tatoian.”  The Minutes, as amended, were approved by a unanimous vote.
