ENFIELD TOWN COUNCIL

MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING/BUDGET REVIEW SESSION

MONDAY, MAY 10, 2010

 

The Special Meeting of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin in the Enfield Room of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Monday May 10, 2010 at 6:02 p.m.

 

ROLL-CALL - Present were Councilmen Crowley, Dumont, Hall, Kaupin, Keller, Kiner, Lee, Mangini and Nelson.  Councilman Bosco arrived at 6:03 p.m., Councilman Edgar at 6:20 p.m.  Also present were Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Assistant Town Manager Daniel Vindigni, Director of Finance Lynn Nenni, Director of Social Services Pamela Brown, Chief of Police Carl Sferrazza, Director of Public Safety Christopher Bromson, Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki.

 

BUDGET DISCUSSIONS

 

The council discussed the 2010-2011 proposed budget.

 

MOTION #893 by Councilman Crowley, seconded by Councilman Nelson to go into Executive Session to discuss Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations.

 

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #893 adopted 11-0-0 and the meeting stood recessed at 6:44 p.m.

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The Executive Session of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin at 6:44 p.m.

 

ROLL-CALL - Present were Councilmen Bosco, Crowley, Dumont, Edgar, Hall, Kaupin, Keller, Kiner, Lee, Mangini and Nelson.  Also present were Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Director of Finance Lynn Nenni, Chief of Police Carl Sferrazza, Director of Public Safety Christopher Bromson, Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki.

 

Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

 

Chairman Kaupin recessed the Executive Session at 8:26 p.m.  He reconvened the Special Meeting at 8:27 p.m. and stated that during Executive Session, Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

 

Discussion of the 2010-2011 proposed budget continued.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

MOTION #894 by Councilman Nelson, seconded by Councilman Mangini to adjourn.

 

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #894 adopted 11-0-0 and the meeting stood adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
