ENFIELD TOWN COUNCIL

MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING

TUESDAY, JULY 6, 2010

A Special Meeting of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin in the Enfield Room of the Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, Connecticut on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.  The meeting was called to order at 5:38 p.m.

ROLL-CALL – Present were Councilmen Edgar, Kaupin, Kiner, Lee, Mangini and Nelson.  Councilman Hall arrived at 5:41 p.m., Councilman Keller at 6:00 p.m.  Councilmen Bosco, Crowley and Dumont were absent.  Also present Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Assistant Town Manager Daniel Vindigni, Town Attorney Kevin Deneen, Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki.

MOTION #0990 by Councilman Mangini, seconded by Councilman Hall to go into Executive Session to discuss Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations.

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #0990 adopted

7-0-0 and the meeting stood recessed at 5:49 p.m.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Executive Session of the Enfield Town Council was called to order by Chairman Kaupin at 5:50 p.m.

ROLL-CALL – Present were Councilmen Edgar, Hall, Kaupin, Kiner, Lee, Mangini and Nelson.  Councilman Keller arrived at 6:00 p.m.  Councilmen Bosco, Crowley and Dumont were absent.  Also present Town Manager Matthew Coppler, Assistant Town Manager Daniel Vindigni, Town Attorney Kevin Deneen, Director of Community Development Peter Bryanton.  Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki.  Also present from the Board of Education Chairman Gregory Stokes, Judith Appruzzese-Desroches, Joyce Hall, Charles Johnson, Peter Jonaitis, Donna Szewczak, Stacy Lynn Thruston, Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Gallacher, Assistant Superintendent of Schools Anthony Torre, Director of Human Resources Chris Drezek, Business Manager Chris Chemerka

Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

Chairman Kaupin recessed the Executive Session at 6:47 p.m.  He reconvened the Special Meeting at 6:48 p.m. and stated that during Executive Session, Personnel Matters, Pending Litigation and Real Estate Negotiations were discussed with no action or votes being taken.

ADJOURNMENT

MOTION #0991 by Councilman Nelson, seconded by Councilman Mangini to adjourn.

Upon a SHOW-OF-HANDS vote being taken, the Chair declared MOTION #0991 adopted 8-0-0 and the meeting stood adjourned

at 6:49 p.m
