Instructions for Use
The Enfield Public Library offers free audiobook and eBook checkout through Overdrive Media Console.
For most devices, including the Nook Color, Android, and iOS devices, the easiest way to access items is through direct download, using a free App. For instructions, click here.
If you are unable to download the App, you can still check out items by downloading Overdrive software to your computer, or by using computers at the library that have the software available. For instructions on how to do this, click here.
For Kindle instructions, click here.

Overdrive F.A.Q.s
Q: How many items can I check out at a time?
A: The limit is 4 items at a time per library card.
Q: Can I renew an item?
A: At this time, items are not renewable. When the item expires, it can be checked out again if no one is waiting for it.
Q: The item I want is not available. How does placing a hold work?
A: When you place a hold, you will be prompted to enter your e-mail address. When the item is available, you will receive an e-mail notice. The item is held for 3 days. Simply log into Overdrive to check it out within 3 days.
Q: I do not have an Enfield card. Can I check out items in Overdrive?
A: Overdrive is a shared collection. If your library participates, your card will provide you access. However, Enfield is an Advantage member. This means that we purchase additional copies of popular items, and these copies are available to Enfield cardholders only.
