Due to space issues, ALL programs will require attendees to pick up a free ticket for admittance unless otherwise specified as "drop-in." Tickets are issued on Mondays for the following week's programs.

18 à Chess @ the Pearl 3:30pm Beginners and pros should sign up in advance for chess lessons and matches at the Pearl St. branch.
19 à Vehicle Day 10:00am – 12:00pm From fire trucks and construction equipment to classic cars, there’s something for everyone. Bring the whole family. (Drop-in)
19 à Child ID event 10:00am – 12:00pm This year’s Vehicle Day will include a Child ID event sponsored by the Enfield Rotary Club.
24 à Summer Reading Kickoff! 10:00am or 11:30am Casey Carle’s Bubblemania! Ages 5 and up only. Learn how bubbles form, why they're spherical, how to make a cube bubble and the science of bubble bursting. Scientific principles, visual comedy, swing music and quick wit make this lively science show. Don’t forget to sign up for the summer reading program and win prizes all summer!
24 à Pearl St. Summer Kickoff! 11:00am to 1:00pm Cheek to Cheek Face Painters will paint faces for children who sign up for the summer reading program at Pearl Street. (Drop-in)

2 « Sand Art 10:00 am Make a rainbow fish with colored sand. Ages 5 and up.
5 « Fourth of July Holiday – Library Closed
7 « The Incredible Journey 2:00 pm Travel through the water cycle with an interactive game that brings water to life. Generate watery poems and madlibs. Ages 6-12.
13 « Fossil Hunter Makes a Splash 10:00 am View ocean fossils such as a six-inch shark tooth and see SCUBA gear used for underwater fossil collecting. Ages 4 and up.
14 « Tie Dye 2:00 pm Bring a t-shirt or other item and splash some color into your wardrobe. Ages 5 and up.
16 « Kids’ Only Bingo 2:00 pm Children should know how to play the game. Win a splashy prize. Ages 5 and up.
19 « Under the Sea Mobile 2:00 pm Decorate sea creatures for this octopus mobile. Ages 5 and up.
21 « PEARL STREET Movie Matinee 2:00 pm Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Refreshments provided. Bring pillows and blankets. All ages. (Drop-in)
23 « Make a Hawaiian Splash with Kahana Hula 10:00 am Stories, songs, and dances about fishing, surfing, picking seashells, canoeing, and even taking a bath. Ages 2 and up.
27 « High Seas Adventure 2:00 pm Papillion the Pirate provides an adventurous environmental program with songs of pirating and the sea. Ages 4 and up.
30 « “Drive-in” Movie 9:00 pm Bring chairs or blankets for an outdoor viewing of Finding Nemo. Bring snacks, or purchase refreshments from the Enfield Rotary Club. All ages. (Drop-in)
August
2 « Water Babies 10:30 am Tidal Tunes with Margie Warner for the rhyme time crowd. Ages birth to 5. (Drop-in)
3 « Tails of Joy 6:00 pm Reading to a trained dog is a great way to build reading confidence. Sign-ups begin July 20th. Space is limited. Readers of all ages.
5 « Under the Mystic Sea 6:30 pm Maria Sangiolo sings the blues for sharks, rocks out with mermaids, and teaches kids to respect themselves and our planet. Ages 3 & up.
6 « Kids’ Movie Matinee 2:00 pm High School Musical 2. Refreshments provided. Bring pillows/blankets. All ages. (Drop-in)
10 « Music Together Jammie Jam 6:30 pm Wear your PJs for Pat Scully’s music class. Sign up beginning July 27th. Space is limited. Ages birth to 5.
11 « Fish Suncatcher Craft 11:00 am Make a sparkling CD suncatcher. Ages 5 & up.
12 « Mystic Touch Tank 9:30 am Mystic Aquarium will do performances in twenty minute rotations until 11:30 so that children can have a hands-on experience with sea life. Tickets will specify your time. Ages 4 & up.
18 « Water Wars Summer Finale and Picnic Bring a blanket and picnic lunch at noon and enjoy a demonstration by Integrity Martial Arts. You’ll need your bathing suit (and a ticket) for Christopher Hulbert’s Water Wars. Teams will compete in wet and wacky contests such as the sprinkler relay, water bomb toss, and tidal wave tug of war.
