What's Happening in March at the EPL?

 

 

Monday March 1st at 7:00 pm Writers Workshop with Cheryl Collins  This workshop assists aspiring writers with editing and review. 

 

 

Tuesday March 2nd at 7:00 pm Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group  This month join Lisa Sprague  for a discussion of Triangle: the Fire that Changed America by Dave Von Drehle.  New members are welcome.

 

 

Wednesday March 3rd at 7:00 pm Meet the Author Angela Lussier Angela will be discussing her work The Anti-Resume Revolution.  She will have books on hand for sale and signing.

 

 

Monday March 8th at 7:00 pm Techno Topics Interactive Health Resources on the Web  Join Reference Librarian, Cheryl Collins for Techno-Topics.   Cheryl will demonstrate the latest online resources for reliable health and wellness information, and will introduce users to various health and medical resources that are available on the web. Learn to research a physician, locate a hospital or healthcare facility, and research disease and health conditions.

 

 

Wednesday March 10th at 7:00 pm Meet the Author Peter Cimini  His work, The Secret Sins of Opi,  gives the reader insight into the psychological dynamics of a long-term imprisonment, the diverse nature of abuse, and how cultural differences impact the reaction of the individual victims.  Books will be on hand for sale and signing.

 

 

Monday March 15th at 7:00 pm Page Turners  This month Cheryl Collins will facilitate a discussion of The Piano Tuner by Daniel Mason, an intriguing work about a British War Office request to tune an eccentric major’s Erard grand piano in the jungles of Burma. 

 

 

Tuesday March 16 at 7:00 pm Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction presented by Carol Tyler, Health Promotion Coordinator from Saint Francis Care.  Learn to develop the practice of mindfulness with guided instruction in meditation and yoga, to cope with stress, pain and illness.  

 

 

Wednesday March 17th at 2:30 pm Book Chat  This month Mary Palomba will lead the discussion of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.  A young Andalusian shepherd boy sells his sheep and travels to Tangiers in Africa in a quest to find treasure in the pyramids of Egypt.

 

 

Thursday March 25th at 7:00 pm Other Worldly Words  Sci/Fi book Discussion  The group, led by Lisa Sprague, will discuss MythagoWood by Robert Holdstock.  New members are always welcome.

 

 

Tuesday March 30th at 7:00 pm Friends of the Enfield Library meeting and guest speaker, Joel Dearing.
