The Tip-A-Cop is Sunday June 3, 2012 at the Country Diner on Hazard Ave from 8am-1pm. This is an event where officers serve coffee and beverages and patrons can give officers tips above and beyond what they give the wait staff. All tips/donations go directly towards Special Olympics of Connecticut. We would like to thank the Country Diner and their staff for their continued support (they have been with us since the first Tip-A-Cop).

The Cop-on-Top event is normally held in June every year. For 2012, the event will be held on June 23 and 24 at the Enfield Square near Target. Officers will be sleeping on top of the building above Ruby Tuesday's until we meet our goal.  Officers will receive your donations in a bucket at the base of the building and haul it up to the top. Without the support of the management of the Enfield Square Mall, this event would not be possible.

The Special Olympics staff for the Enfield Police Department are:

Team Captain Sgt. M. Squires

Cop on Top Organizer: Officer  E. Kaczmarek

Staff:  Officer V. Magagnoli, Officer J. Ficara, and Officer G. Marusak

Merchandise (hats, tee shirts, buttons etc.) is available by attending one of our events or contacting one of us via email utilizing the above links.

All interested in donating are encouraged to contact one of the above people at 860-763-6400 or by clicking on an officers name above.

*** SOCT UPDATE ***

The Enfield Police Department congratulates Offficer Magagnoli for her valiant feat in rappelling the Mohegan Sun Hotel on Thursday, October 20th. Officer Magagnoli solicited and raised over $4300 on her own to benefit the Special Olympics, then descended the 400 foot face of the hotel in the Over the Edge benefit held at the Mohegan.

This civic minded effort by Officer Magagnoli and other members of the Enfield Police Department is exemplarly of the ethos of this department. Officer Magagnoli is a credit to this department, as well as the Town of Enfield, and her efforts should be commended by the entire community.
