Firefighter of the Year

At the Shaker Pines Firefighter's Association Annual Banquet 2012, Firefighter Bill Blinn was named as 2011 Firefighter of the Year.  Bill has been on the department since 2009 and has proven himself to be worthy of this title.  He has logged nearly 200 hours of education since joining the department, with Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Emergency Vehicle Operator, and Emergency Medical Responder training.  Bill is the Shaker Pines Firefighter's Association President, as well as a Recruit Mentor for the department.  We congratulate Bill, and his wife Nancy, for all his hard work and dedication to the department, as well as the District.
