The Town of Enfield is currently seeking applicants for a Compliance Clerk in the Community Development Department.
o 18 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for 12 weeks.
o Hourly Rate of Pay: $9.00/hr.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs varied and independent work which includes maintaining project file systems, obtaining information from the internet, obtaining photographs for CD projects, ensuring project file compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general direction of the Community Development Director or his/her designee who issues instructions and reviews work for conformance to instructions.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ability to work independently, organize and maintain project filing systems, locate required documents and identify compliance issues, perform field work including locating and photographing project locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift, climb, push or pull objects up to 20 pounds. Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to concentrate on fine detail with some interruption, attend to task for 45-60 minutes at a time. Must be able to perform highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge. May be exposed to dust, fluctuation in inside temperature and electro-magnetic radiation as in the computer screen. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Ability to express ideas effectively in oral and written form; knowledge of file maintenance practices, preferably as it relates to local government; knowledge of research techniques and statistical concepts and methods; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; knowledge of office practices and procedures, including an ability to type and knowledge of modern business equipment; must be proficient on the computer; Must be honest, tactful and have a neat appearance.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Associates degree and a minimum of one (1) year work experience in a responsible position, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
