POSITION VACANCY

 

CLERK TYPIST PT - FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

 

·          CLOSING DATE:  Thursday, June 24, 2010

·          RATE OF PAY:  $11.92/hr

·          EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:  Graduation from high school or possession of high school equivalency diploma (GED) and not less than three (3) years of employment in a responsible position exercising moderately complex clerical work.

 

·          HOURS OF WORK:  11 hours per week, flexible schedule

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Involves a wide variety of clerical tasks and provides office support to the Family Resource Center.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of the Family Resource Center Coordinator.

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Regular & punctual attendance; answers phones; tracks and provides monthly statistics; processes purchase orders; updates web pages; works with FRC budget; tracks and enters payroll attendance; maintains database, types newsletters and mailings.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs other related work as required.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, reach with arms and hands, stand, use hands to finger, grasp handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. 

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Hand-eye coordination is required for operation of computer and various office equipment.

May be exposed to dust, fluctuations in inside temperature and electro-magnetic radiation as a computer screen.

 

Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:  Must be a proficient typist and knowledgeable of varied office procedures; clerical ability; ability to accurately follow written and oral instructions; knowledgeable of office machines; must be able to deal effectively and courteously with the general public. Must be proficient on computer.
