LEGAL NOTICE

INVITATION TO BID         

                                                                                      August 21, 2008

The Town of Enfield is accepting sealed bids for:

PURCHASE OF MUNICIPAL TAX LIENS

The property location of the liens being sold is identified as follows:

          Brainard Road

          Property I.D. #00032280

          Description:  Volume 742, Page 0136

          Assessor’s Map 058, Lot 0168

Bids shall be submitted in the manner specified.  Requirements and specifications may be obtained from the Department of Finance at 860.253.6330 or the Town’s website, www.enfield-ct.gov.  Sealed bids will be accepted at the Department of Finance, until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid amount in Dollars, refundable to unsuccessful bidders.

The Town is requesting written sealed bids from prospective purchasers for the purchase of  part of the Town's delinquent municipal tax liens pursuant to the current provisions of Connecticut General Statutes §12-195h and in accordance with the terms of this Invitation to Bid.

Those firms or individuals that believe they are qualified are encouraged to submit a bid, together with general information and in accordance with the specific information requested.

The right is reserved by the Town of Enfield to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any part or parts, or total bid, and to waive informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Enfield.
