LEGAL NOTICE

INVITATION TO BID         

                                                                                                     April 16, 2009

The Town of Enfield is accepting sealed bids for:

SALE OF TOWN OWNED PROPERTY

The property location is identified as follows:

Northeastern portion of the parcel located on Map 071 Lot 0003 on Town Farm Road and described more particularly in Attachment A.

Sealed bids will be accepted at the Department of Finance, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT  06082 until 11:00 A.M. local time on Friday, May 1, 2009 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Specifications may be obtained from the Town’s website, www.enfield-ct.gov.  Please utilize the GIS link on the Town’s home page as an aid to identify parcel location.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount in Dollars, refundable to unsuccessful bidders.

The right is reserved by the Town of Enfield to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any part or parts, or total bid, and to waive informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Enfield.

The Town will convey title to the property by Quit Claim deed which deed will contain a restrictive covenant limiting the property to agricultural use.

The closing for the sale of the property shall take place on or before June 30, 2009 (“closing date”), time being of the essence.
