REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
JULY 1, 2002
Sealed bids will be received on Architectural and Engineering Services, for Renovations and Addition to the Enfield High School, Enfield, Connecticut.
The Work consists of approximately 19,670 sq. ft. two story addition for a library and media center and approximately 11,090 sq. ft. of renovations to portions of the existing building from the relocation of the existing library, head start, nurse’s office, main office and student services for more classrooms and administrative areas. Estimated project completion September 2004.
Proposals shall include Lump Sum for the total Work and its duration.
Proposal Requirements may be obtained by pickup at Stanley E. Jablonski Public Works Complex, 40 Moody Road, Enfield, CT 06082 during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm on or after July 2, 2002; or by written request on company letter head faxed to the office of the Town of Enfield Public Works, Attention: Joanne Larson 860-272-1143. All written requests must provide a federal express account number for over night distribution of the Request for Proposal with the company name, complete address and attention person clearly outlined. No other form of request or distribution can be provided.
Submit proposal based on the Request for Proposal requirements. Submit fifteen (15) signed copies of the Bid sealed and delivered to the office of the Director of Finance, Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082, on or before 11:00 AM, Tuesday July 30, 2002. Proposals delivered after that time will not be accepted. Proposals will be opened publicly at that time and read aloud. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or to waive defects in same if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Enfield. The name of the project must be clearly marked on the envelope of all sealed bids.
Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the due date for submittal without the written consent of the Owner.
A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2002, at the Enfield High School, 1264 Enfield St., Enfield CT. Proposers are required to attend and participate in the conference to be considered for the work.
It is the intention that the Work will begin on or about September 16, 2002 and shall be completed no later than October 2004.
The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all proposals and to waive information in the Request for Proposal.
