Security Camera Registration

The purpose of this program is to allow police to have a list of people willing to allow police to review private security camera footage to obtain evidence related to crimes where needed.

 

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Am I required to register my camera system if I have one?

A: No, there is no requirement to register. This program is strictly voluntary for those who wish to do so.

Q: Will the police be able to have a live stream of my cameras?

A: No, this is for post incident review only and with your permission.

Q: How will I be notified that the police want to review my camera footage?

A: Police will make contact with you at the phone number listed on the registration form and request access at a mutually agreed upon date/time.

Q: How will police obtain copies of footage if needed?

A: The officer will bring the required hardware to copy the footage for our use from your system.

Q: What if I change my mind and no longer wish to have my system listed?

A: Contact the attached email address and we will remove your information from our list.

Q: Will this information be made public?

A: No, the information will not be publically accessible.
