Peg Smith Memorial Volunteer of the Year Nomination Form

This Award is offered in recognition of Peg Smith’s lifetime of volunteerism and true concern
for the people and community of Enfield.

Margaret “Peg” Smith was a kind-hearted, fully-involved citizen of Enfield for over 50 years. She was employed by the Town of Enfield for 25 years, having worked at Mark Twain Congregate Housing, the Enfield Senior Center, and Enfield Adult Day Care. Over the years, Peg was active in a variety of volunteer programs, including the Enfield Food Shelf, Dial-a-Ride, ARC of Enfield, and Enfield Child Day Care. She received several commendations from both the Town of Enfield and State of Connecticut. Peg also implemented a program called Wakee-Sleepee Teddy Bear project, which organized people to make teddy bears for children in need. 

Candidate must have a history of volunteer service to the community of Enfield
