The Enfield Dial-A-Ride program provides affordable in-town rides to residents age 60 and over or who have a physical disability that prevents them from driving.

Service Area

Enfield Dial-A-Ride provides trips to anywhere within the Town of Enfield. We provide rides to routine medical appointments, dialysis appointments, grocery shopping, banking, senior activities, beauty/barber appointments, the library, post office, pharmacy, town hall, food shelf, etc. 

Operating Procedures

Prepare to be ready 45 minutes before the appointment time. Watch for your driver to pull up in front of your home. Our goal is to deliver you to your appointment on time. When the driver arrives, she or he will beep the horn and wait for you at the curb. Passengers must be able to reach the bus independently. If you are traveling in a wheelchair or mobility device, you must be able to manage independently or bring an adult companion  or aide to assist you.  Our drivers help with wheelchair clients on and off the vehicle and secure wheelchairs into position on the vehicle only.  Drivers are not permitted to enter homes or buildings. Our Drivers will not use the driveway for safety considerations. Please respond promptly to the bus horn. All passengers are required to wear seat belts by law.

Please do not ask the driver to make unscheduled stops; all appointments need to be made through the Transportation dispatcher. 

Passengers requiring assistance may bring an escort with them. Escorts ride for free. Please let us know you will bring an escort with you when you call to reserve your ride. If requests for Dial-A-Ride service exceed our capacity on a given day, we may need to limit rides.

 Please limit the number of shopping bags to no more than three bags or what can fit in your seat/space. The driver will not be able to help you carry your purchases.
