If you saw Kathie Lee and Hoda last week, you may have seen them talking about the movie, “The Age of Love.” The Enfield Senior Center will host a free movie screening of that movie on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. There are not many opportunities to see this highly acclaimed film in this area. “The Age of Love” follows the humorous and poignant adventures of thirty seniors who sign up for a first-of-its-kind speed dating event exclusively for 70 to 90 year olds. After the movie, there will be a discussion led by AARP CT State Director Nora Duncan about the issues the movie addresses. Free tickets are available in the Senior Center office.

Students from Fermi National Honor Society will be volunteering on Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Technology Café (Computer Learning Center) for the month of March. Bring any questions or any device and these students will provide individual assistance.
A free bone density screening, compliments of Health New England, will be held on Friday, March 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. It only takes 5 minutes! Please call to schedule your free appointment.
Communication is more than just talking and listening – it’s also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. As people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias progress in their journey and the ability to use words is lost, families need new ways to connect. Join Patty O’Brian from the Alzheimer’s Association on Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. for Effective Communication Strategies to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s. Learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.
Join us for a fun-filled trip to the Newport Playhouse on March 26, 2015. Enjoy the comedic show “When the Cat Gets Away.” This play is about what happens when two wives go off on a trip to Paris, and then the "mice will play". Their philandering husbands agree to invite two charming little sex kittens over. Well, you already know what happens, don't you? The wives come home prematurely! Prior to the show, enjoy a buffet lunch then enter into their theatre to see the show, followed by a fun-filled Cabaret. Price: $106 per person.
