News Release for the Week of April 13, 2015
We are going to rock and roll again! It’s dance night on Friday, April 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. with Rock Solid Alibi. The dance will start a little later than usual so you have time to grab a quick dinner. Dessert and coffee will be served at the break. Tickets are $7 per person in the Senior Center office.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. Monthly packages of healthy and nutritious food are provided at no cost to eligible individuals. These boxes include: Canned fruits, canned vegetables, bottled 100% juice, nonfat dry low-fat milk, low-fat American cheese, canned meat like chicken, beef stew, chili or tuna, and peanut butter or dry beans and cereal, rice or pasta. If your income or someone you know meets the guidelines, you may register at the Enfield Senior Center on Monday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Monday, April 27 from 12 to 3 p.m. Please bring proof of income. The income guidelines are $1,265 per month for a family unit of 1, $1705 for a family unit of 2, $2,144 for a family unit of 3. You may pick up the box or designate someone else to pick it up for you when you register. For an appointment time, please call the Senior Center office. If you love country music, make plans to see the Truck Stop Troubadours on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. Dessert and coffee will be served at the break.
Do you own an IRA or 401K? John Dee, President of Wealth Preservation Group, will present How to Avoid the Top IRA and 401k Legacy Planning Mistakes on Wednesday, April 15 at 1 p.m. Please register by calling the Senior Center.
