News Release for the Week of November 9, 2015

On these crisp fall days, take a walk on the Senior Center Walking Trail. Many people have commented about how nice it is to walk on the trail. Stop and try the outdoor fitness equipment too. Studies have shown that walking outdoors relieves stress as well as giving you a good cardio workout. We are very fortunate to have the walking trail and equipment on the grounds of the Senior Center. Give it a try.

The Holiday Craft Fair & Pancake Breakfast is here! Join us for pancakes and holiday shopping on Saturday, November 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is never too early to start your holiday shopping. Take a chance on a one-of-a-kind-quilt and teacup raffle items. We always have delicious homemade baked goods, too.

We honor our veterans with a celebration each year. This year we are joining the Enfield Cultural Arts Commission to present a World War II storyteller in our Veterans Tribute. On Thursday, November 12 at 1 p.m., Arnie Pritchard tells the story of his father’s experience through letters he wrote. Dessert will be served after the presentation. Everyone is welcome.

Only a few tickets remain for The Country Jamboree on Friday, November 13 at 6 p.m. Songs by artists like Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn are featured in Grand Ole Opry style. Tickets are $7 per person and include dessert and coffee.

The Goldtones Holiday Concert scheduled for Sunday, November 29 has been canceled.
