Moondance is the ultimate Van Morrison Tribute Concert and they will be appearing at the Enfield Senior Center on Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m. Listen to classics like “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You”, “Brown Eyed Girl”, “Domino”, “Tupelo Honey” and of course “Into the Mystic” and “Moondance”. Tickets are on sale for Moondance – Van Morrison Tribute Band Concert for $7 per person and includes dessert and coffee.
Thank you for coming to the Holiday Craft Fair. We appreciate all of the volunteers who made this event such a success too. This was one of the most well-attended craft fairs so far. All purchases support the programs at the Enfield Senior Center and we made over $4,000! Program Coordinator Nancy Darrah worked tirelessly to coordinate the craft fair and it showed. Bravo!
The Rotary Club of Enfield is having a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 5 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Senior Center. Stop in for breakfast and support the charitable activities of the Rotary Club. Tickets are sold at the door for $5 per person.
Create a beautiful Stoneware Ornament on Tuesdays from December 1 to December 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. Start by learning clay techniques to create your ornament, then learn waxing and glazing. You will leave with an ornament ready for hanging. Space is limited, so register early for this brand new class. The cost is $12 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.
The Enfield Single Seniors will meet on Wednesday, November 18 at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be a local pharmacist who will answer any questions you have. New members are always welcome.
Would you like to participate in a University of Connecticut research study? Jennifer Hehl, a nurse in the School of Nursing Graduate Program, is developing and testing a computerized Pain Management Life History Calendar to help patients describe pain and treatments over time. If you would like to become part of the study, you would be asked to give your opinion on the computer assessment. If you are 65 years of age or older, have arthritis pain and would like to participate, contact Jennifer at 860-985-5852 or jshanaman@gmail.com for more information or to register. You would be asked to come to the Senior Center on either Wednesday, December 2, 9 or 16 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Registration for January and February classes begins on Tuesday, December 8 at 8:30 a.m. for residents and Tuesday, December 15 at 8:30 a.m. for nonresidents.
