Join us for a fun-filled Saturday afternoon out on the town on March 26, 2016 to see “Motown the Musical” at the Bushnell Theatre in Hartford. This musical is the true American story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and many more. A delicious lunch is included at the Chowder Pot restaurant. Reservations are being accepted at the Senior Center Front Desk for $154 per person. We are also taking reservations for a trip to the Lincoln Center in New York City to The Metropolitan Opera to see “Otello” on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Often cited as opera’s greatest tragedy, “Otello” is a miraculous union of music and drama, a masterpiece as profound philosophically as it is thrilling theatrically.
