Per the Town of Enfield Code of Ordinances, Chapter 74, "Streets, Sidewalks and Other Public Places", Article IV, "Snow and Ice Removal From Sidewalks", the responsibility rests on the abutting home/business owner to clear the sidewalks on their property from snow and ice 24 hours from the time the snow has ceased. Once the Director of Public Works has declared the snow event over, residents have until the clock is at "zero" to clear their sidewalks before they are in violation of the Town's ordinance.
