News Release for the Week of April 25, 2016

Thank you for completing our 2016 Participant Satisfaction Survey. You like us, you really like us! The results are posted on the Enfield Senior Center website at www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors. We really appreciate all of the comments and suggestions. We have already fixed some concerns and acted on some suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to say nice things and to recommend some little tweaks. It helps us to keep improving.

There are two free screenings that you will want to take advantage of in May. On May 3 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. free Bone Density Screenings will be given on a walk-in basis. On Friday, May 13 and Friday, May 20, Johnson Memorial Medical Center will sponsor a free Stroke Screening from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. Schedule your 15 minute appointment by calling 860-763-7684.

If you have not been to the Enfield Senior Center, join me for “Welcome to the Enfield Senior Center” on Wednesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Meet in the Senior Center Library for a tour and a talk about Senior Center services, events, and classes. No registration is necessary.

May newsletters are available at the Senior Center if you have not received one. There are many new activities to read about.

Dance to the sounds of the Dukes of Hazardville on Friday, April 29 at 6 p.m. and enjoy dessert and coffee at the break. Tickets are on sale for $7 per person in the Senior Center office.

• Texas Tenors at Foxwoods, August 3, 2016. Cost: $90 per person. Trip sign-up date is June 3, 2016, 10 am.
• Exploring Boston & Whale Watch, August 18, 2016. Cost: $135 per person. Trip sign-up date is June 10, 2016, 10 am.
• Discover Woodstock Vermont/Billings Farm Museum, September 6, 2016. Cost: $139 per person. Trip sign-up date is July 15, 2016, 10 am.
