The Annual Spring Craft Fair & Basket Raffle is coming to the Enfield Senior Center on Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. We partner, on this event, with the Lions Club who make some delicious pancakes and the Enfield Garden Club with a great plant sale. Shop our handcrafted items and take a chance on a beautiful gift basket or a stunning quilt. There is something for everyone!
Jimmy Mazz is back in town with his Las Vegas Legends Show. On Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. Jimmy will take us on a musical journey through some of his favorite songs by a wide variety of performers. Jimmy has quite a following so you may want to pick up your tickets early. Tickets are on sale for $7 per person and includes dessert and coffee.
The Enfield Senior Center Bike Riding Group, the Classic Rollers, is rolling again! If you would like to join them, just meet at the following spots. All rides begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 – Turkey Hill in East Granby, Route 20. Wednesday, May 11 – Northampton at exit 19 off Route 91N across street. Wednesday, May 18 – Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury off Route 10/202, south end. Wednesday, May 25 – Miller Road bike trail in Southwick MA.
There are two free screenings that you will want to take advantage of in May. On Tuesday, May 3 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. free Bone Density Screenings will be given on a walk-in basis. On Friday, May 13 and Friday, May 20, Johnson Memorial Medical Center will sponsor a free Stroke Screening from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. Schedule your 15 minute appointment by calling 860-763-7684.
If you have not been to the Enfield Senior Center, join me for “Welcome to the Enfield Senior Center” on Wednesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Meet in the Senior Center Library for a tour and a talk about Senior Center services, events, and classes. No registration is necessary.
If you have a Hawaiian vacation on your travel bucket list, you won’t want to miss our Informational Trip Presentation on our 2017 Hawaii Cruise Tour, departing on January 11 2017, for 12 days. A Tour of Distinction trip specialist will be visiting the Enfield Senior Center on Thursday, May 5 at 3 pm to present details on this trip. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see what this adventure has to offer.
