Tibetan Singing Bowls sit with the bottom surface resting on the floor and the rim vibrates to produce sound. Tibetan singing bowls are used for deep relaxation, stress reduction, holistic healing, Reiki, and chakra balancing. You are invited to try this mind/body class in chairs or laying on a mat at the Enfield Senior Center. This class is offered on Friday, September 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and is free with an advanced registration only.
You may want to take advantage of the upcoming free screenings at the Enfield Senior Center. On Tuesday, September 20, Evergreen Health Care Center is offering individualized Balance Screenings from 10 to noon. Free Vision Screenings are offered on Tuesday, September 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. Call the Senior Center office for an appointment. Walk-ins are accepted as time is available.
For people with health conditions like heart disease, arthritis, pain and anxiety or those caring for someone with ongoing health conditions, we are offering a free 6-week evidence-based program. The Chronic Disease Self-Management program will begin on Mondays from September 12 through October 24 from 1:30-4 p.m. Registration is required.
Several people have expressed interest in a Chess group. Beginning Wednesday, September 14, at 5:30 p.m., interested players are invited to join the group. Join us! Please bring your own chess board.
The award-winning Beatles tribute band, Beatles for Sale, is returning to the Enfield Senior Center for another exciting performance. Tickets are available for the Friday, September 23, 6 p.m. show. This band of talented musicians was drawn together by their love of Beatles music and the desire to keep the music alive. The $7 ticket price includes coffee and dessert. For Beatles fans, you do not want to miss this show.
The Annual Firefighter Picnic will be held on Wednesday, September 7 at noon. Our wonderful Enfield firefighters grill hamburgers and hot dogs for Enfield older adults and the Senior Center provides the musical entertainment. Bring a chair to Enfield Rotary Park at the Enfield Senior Center and enjoy an afternoon picnic. Free tickets are available in the Senior Center office. In the event of inclement weather, the picnic will be postponed until the following day.

• National September 11 Memorial Museum, November 6, 2016. Cost: $81 per person. Trip sign-up date is September 16, 2016, 10 a.m.
