It is working with the Enfield Public Schools in anticipation of new legislation (Public Act 16-189) regarding student privacy laws. IT is evaluating the implications of these changes and how they will affect our data systems in order to best protect the interest of our students and the district. As of July 1, 2017, data stored in the student information system will be subject to new federal laws under this Act. The State of Connecticut is leading the way in complying with these new federal laws.
