Do you enjoy playing pickleball? There are four outdoor pickleball courts at Fermi and two outdoor courts at Mark Twain available from dawn to dusk. Pickleball courts are for use on a first-come, first-“served” basis but most mornings you will find an informal group there to join if you like. Pickleball equipment is available for loan at the Senior Center.
We offered a trial class of Active and Fit for a month. If you tried it, you know what a wonderful class it was. Certified Personal Trainer Joseph Hicks, includes aerobic activity that benefits the cardiovascular system, flexibility training to prevent stiffness and strength training. This class begins Thursday, June 1 at 2 p.m. for 5 weeks. The cost is $15 for residents and $20 for nonresidents.
The Catholic Cemeteries Association will be hosting an educational event, on Wednesday, May 31 at 1 p.m., designed to prepare you to handle the difficult end of life issues. Four professionals from Cemeteries, Funeral Homes, Long Term Care and Legal community will help you plan and relieve the burden on those we leave behind. Please register for Dignity of Life by calling the Senior Center.
The Enfield Police Senior Picnic is on Wednesday, June 14 at noon. This annual event, sponsored by the Enfield Police Union and Police Benevolent Association, is held at Enfield Rotary Park on the Senior Center Grounds. This year, the EPD is trying something different. They are showing their appreciation to all Enfield older adult residents who have supported them. Free tickets can be picked up at the Police Station with proof of residency. Entertainment will be provided by the Elderly Brothers. Bring a chair and enjoy the day.

Day trips are available for sale on or after the trip sign-up date. Trip sign ups take place at the Senior Center at 10 a.m.
Sail Away Argia, Mystic, CT, July 20, 2017. Cost: $77 per person.
Block Island Breeze, July 27, 2017. Cost: $130 per person.
Saratoga Racetrack, August 17, 2017. Cost: $113 per person. Trip sign up date is June 2, 2017 at 10 a.m.
Radio City Christmas Spectacular, November 30, 2017. Cost: $165 per person. Trip sign up date is June 30, 2017 at 10 a.m.

3-Day Vermont, September 11-13, 2017. Cost $529 pp/double.
Caribbean Cruise, January 28 – February 9, 2018. Cost $1649 pp/double.
Spain’s Classics, April 19 – 29, 2018. Cost $3,899 pp/double.
Mediterranean Cruise, September 22 – October 5, 2018. Cost $2999 pp/double. Trip Presentation date is June 22, 2017 at 2 p.m.
