News Release for the Week of
July 17, 2017
I will be retiring
from the Town of Enfield on July 19. I have met some of the most amazing people
ever in Enfield over my fourteen years. Surely, the most giving people live in
this community. We have done great things together. We moved into a new
building in 2003 and grew from there…and have not stopped. We changed views on
aging with Speed Dating, helped keep older adults healthy in evidence-based
programs, fitness classes and our amazing Fitness Center. We learned technology
together. We laughed, sang and danced. Do you remember collecting teacups for
our teas? I am so proud of what we have accomplished together! Although I am
retiring from Enfield, I will still be working in and advocating for senior
centers. Senior centers are amazing places. And while the director and staff
are important, and the facility is a big factor, the absolute most important
thing about a senior center is the people who participate. You are wonderful
and I will miss you!

Land on Thursday, July 27. If you would like, purchase a ticket in advance for
