We are happy to offer a new Qigong class for nine weeks, beginning on March 1 and running through April 26. Join Marcy Hickey on Thursday mornings, from 8:45 – 9:45 am. Qigong is a holistic system of coordinated body posture and slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm, meditative state of mind. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi, translated as life energy. Qigong is now practiced throughout China and worldwide for recreation, exercise and relaxation, and preventive medicine. A trial class was very well-received.  Class registrations begin on February 6 for Enfield residents, February 13 for non-residents and will be accepted through February 23.
