News Release for the Week of April 23, 2018

 

We would like to wish our Reiki instructor, Stacy Ford, all the best on her move down south. We thank her for her time and energy here at the Enfield Senior Center.

 

Only 10 seats left so sign up today!  Enjoy a day trip to Wright’s Chicken Farm in Blackstone Valley, RI on Thursday, May 24 to savor an all you can eat meal which includes dinner rolls, salad, pasta with red sauce, Wright’s amazing French fries, and of course Wright’s famous, tender and juicy baked chicken, leave room for ice cream for dessert.  After time in the gift shop we will keep our winning streak going with a visit to Twin River Casino, with over 4,000 slot machines and live table games.  Trip cost is $72 per person.

 

We offer many informative programs where you can sit down with a professional and ask a question.  Ask the Financial Professional, Tuesday, April 24 from 10 – noon; Ask the Lawyer, Wednesday, April 25 from 10 – noon and Ask the Realtor, Wednesday, May 2 from 10 – noon.  Each of the services is available for a 15-minute free appointment. Mark your calendars for the annual Spring Craft Fair and Basket Raffle being held on Saturday, May 7, 8 am - 1 pm. Stop in for the pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lions Club, buy a plant at the Enfield Garden Club plant sale, pick up a home baked treat, and have fun choosing a raffle basket to bid on. Shop handcrafted items made by our volunteers. Plus take a chance on a beautiful quilt.

 

There will be an iPhone Connections class on Tuesday, April 24 at 1pm. This class is for those who want to learn the basic usage of the iPhone contacts, facetime and messages.

 

Undersea farming is now occurring in Connecticut and could be leading the world into “3D Undersea Farming” New economic and business models for undersea farming have been created and implemented in the Thimble Islands area of Branford, CT.  Join us on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:30am. Just drop in. No fee.

·         Red Sox Game at Fenway Park, June 24, 2018.  SOLD OUT

·         All You Can Eat Lobster at the Delaney House, July 11, 2018.  Cost $100 per person.  Trip sign up date is May 4, 2018.

·         Webster Lake Riverboat Cruise, July 31, 2018.  Cost $96 per person.  Trip sign up date is May 11, 2018.

·         The Lighthouses of Boston Harbor, August 29, 2018.  Cost $113 per person.  Trip sign up date is June 15, 2018.

·         Savor the Flavor, Providence, RI, September 19, 2018.  Cost $98 per person.  Trip sign up date is July 13, 2018.

·         Colorado’s Historic Trains, August 10 – 18, 2018. Cost $3,299 pp/double.

·         Atlantic City & Cape May, September 12 -14, 2018. Cost $339 pp/double.

·         Nashville Music City, October 9 – 16, 2018.  Cost $1,763 pp/double.

·         Iceland, November 29 – December 5, 2018. Cost $3,759 pp/double. 

·         American Queen River Cruise, New Orleans to Memphis, December 2 – 10, 2018.  Cost $2,599 inside cabin pp/double includes Air, shore excursions and more.
