An RFP for a new equipment refresh for the town has been completed and awarded to the lease company. New equipment includes All in One desktops, laptops for mobile managers and mobile personnel, new kiosks and All in One computers for library patrons and residents using town services. This will be a three year lease renewal, as our previous three year lease has expired. Deployment is scheduled to all town departments in late August/September.
For the Enfield Police Department, this will mean an upgrade from Office 2010 to Office 2016, new use of Windows 10, as well as Office 365. Training will be given to all staff to ensure a smooth transition to this new environment. IT will also be onsite during this transition to assist.
