[ARCHIVED] Calling all Patriots! The Sponsor-A-Flag Program needs YOU!

Calling all Patriots!  The Sponsor-A-Flag Program needs YOU!

Enfield proudly flies her colors from Memorial Day until Veterans Day.

The Department Public Works Highway Division along with volunteers installed three hundred and forty-eight American Flags on town and state highway streets.

When many of the flags were taken down and assessed in mid-June, it was discovered that around 80 of the flags will have to be destroyed due to their extremely worn and poor condition.
100 of the flags will remain flying for the Veterans Day Parade in November, and the Enfield Beautification Committee is looking for flag sponsorships, both from residents and businesses. Flag sponsorship is $45 each and is tax deductible.

Without your help, next year’s flag supply is in jeopardy.  Please help ensure the representation of Old Glory in the Town of Enfield for years to come!

To sponsor a flag, go to http://enfield-ct.gov/644/Enfield-Beautification-Committee to print off a form or you may get a form at the Public Works Office at 40 Moody Road or call Jack Hartley at (860) 745-0794.
