[ARCHIVED] Sewer Fee and "Ready to Serve" Charge

The Enfield Town Council acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority adopted new sewer service fees and rates at their meeting on May 21, 2018.  These rates were effective July 1, 2018 and will be reflected in your most recent bill.

The new rates incorporate a quarterly “Ready to Serve” charge which helps to offset maintenance costs of the Town wide water pollution system, including the actual plant, lift stations, pump stations, manholes, collection lines and the piping under our roads.  There is no longer a minimum service use fee.

Your quarterly charge is based on your meter and pipe size:

Well users are charged based on the smallest meter size.

On April 16, Woodard and Curran made a presentation to the Town Council acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, educating the public on the necessity of the new rate structure.  A Public Hearing was held on May 7 in order to give citizens the opportunity to provide input to the proposed rate changes.  Please click on the PowerPoint to view the report in it's entirety:

The new fee structure is the first modification in fees since 2014, as the Water Pollution Control Authority held fees steady for the first 5 years.
