In conjunction with the Town of Enfield and sponsored in part by Asnuntuck Community College and the Enfield Agricultural Commission, a group of local farmers have joined forces to coordinate the Northern Connecticut Agricultural Summit. The Summit will be held on Saturday, March 2 from 8:30 to 1:00 p.m. at Asnuntuck Community College, 170 Elm Street, Enfield.
The Snow Date is March 9, 2019.
The Agricultural Summit, “Farming for Future” is geared toward current and prospective farmers in Hartford and Tolland counties. Keynote speaker for the event is Bryan Hurlburt, Executive Director of the Connecticut Farm Bureau Association.
During the Summit, attendees will hear from expert speakers at seminars throughout the morning to include Social Media 101, Land as your Legacy, Soil Health, Financing/Credit, Produce Safety, How to Establish a CSA and Navigating through State Grants to name a few.
The Agricultural Summit is free of charge and will include a continental breakfast, seminars and informational exhibitors.
