[ARCHIVED] Community Update from Town Manager Christopher Bromson 2/12/2021

On February 11th, the Town of Enfield partnered with the North Central District Health Department to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Enfield Senior Center. We are grateful to the health district for collaborating with the Town in this important endeavor. 152 eligible adults received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. We would also like to recognize the staff of the Senior Center, the Department of Social Services, Public Works, the Police Department, and EMS who were present to ensure those registered were able to quickly and safely receive their vaccination. The Town will continue to explore every avenue available to deliver vaccinations to our community. More clinics will be announced as vaccine becomes available.

On Wednesday, February 24, 10 AM – 1 PM, Community Health Center, will be hosting a COVID testing site at the Enfield Senior Center. For more information or to register, visit www.chc1.com.

COVID-19 Vaccination Enrollment and Registration Assistance for Enfield Residents Only:

The Department of Social Services – with assistance from the Commission on Aging – will be providing VAMs Enrollment and Registration Assistance for those Enfield residents age 65 and older so that they can be scheduled for their vaccination appointment. If you do not have anyone who can assist you with navigating the process – adult child/grandchildren/friend, please call 860-253-6398 so that we can help you. Appointments for assistance will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.

Help Us Plan Enfield’s Future

The Town of Enfield and the Planning and Zoning Commission have started the comprehensive planning process to update the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).The POCD is a strategic plan that will guide land use, development, and decision making for the next 10 years. As part of the planning process, we are seeking input from the community to inform our effort and the Plan. This Community Survey offers you an opportunity to provide your thoughts and perspectives on Enfield today and the Enfield you want to be part of in the future.

The survey only takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete—time well spent to participate in the planning of Enfield’s future. We thank you for your interest in our community and taking the time to inform the Town’s planning process.
