I have a disability that prevents me from reaching a nearby bus stop and/or getting on the bus, are there other transportation options for me?

All of our buses are handicapped accessible, including a lift and wheelchair passenger area. However, if you have a disability that prevents you from accessing the bus stop and/or getting on the bus, you may qualify for ADA Paratransit service. ADA paratranstit service provides door-to-door transportation within 3/4 miles of either side of the Magic Carpet route. Download an online application. Following the return of the application, all prospective passengers will be scheduled for an interview. Transportation to the interview will be provided. For more information, call 860-253-6401.

Dial-A-Ride, an on-demand bus service for the elderly and disabled, may also be an option for you. For more information on both of these services, please call 860-272-3545 or check out the Dial-A-Ride webpage.
